Neem is a very useful tree. From its roots to flowers, leaves and fruits, all its parts are full of medicinal properties. It is a Kalpavriksha for the people of India.

Root- Boiling neem root in water and drinking it cures fever.

Bark- Rubbing the outer bark of neem in water and applying it on boils cures them very quickly. Burning the outer bark, mixing basil leaves juice in its ash and applying it cures ringworm and other skin diseases. Making a decoction of the bark and taking a bath with it is beneficial in dry itching.

Toothbrush- Brushing teeth with neem daily removes bad breath. Teeth and gums become strong. Its toothbrush is very useful for the treatment of pyorrhea, bleeding from gums and swelling of gums.

Neem leaves should be kept in warm and silk clothes, warm silk carpets, blankets, books etc. to protect them from insects. Mosquitoes run away due to the smoke of dry neem leaves.

Neem leaf manure provides nutrients to plants and trees, and also kills termites present in the soil. It also kills other insects that harm the crop.

Flowers- Eating neem flowers and neem leaves prevents stomach diseases. The flowers are burnt and used as kajal.

Neem leaves- Neem leaves are the fruit of Neem. Oil is extracted from it.
